Tomorrow we will celebrate the November Full Moon. Because of the time of its peak, the best time to see her would be late tonight, November 3, 2017. I refer to this moon as the Snow Moon in my tradition. However, there are other names given to it. The Native Indians called it the Beaver Moon. This is because this was the moon within the month when they would set their traps to catch beaver. Others called this the Frost Moon, Hunter’s Moon, etc. I would say that most of these names were given to associate the colonist’s seasonal activities that they performed. I am sure that hunting, feasting and preparing for the frosts that have come or were on the way was very critical this time of year. I use the Snow Moon because where I live; it isn’t too uncommon to see our first snow within the next lunar cycle.
The Moon will be in Taurus this month and I don’t know about you but I have been much more sensitive and emotional these past few days. I credit that to this moon and its association to Neptune. This moon is also going to be influenced by Venus. SO this may be a good month to do some workings on love, relationships, emotional issues, etc. In general Full Moons in Taurus are a great time for workings on love, money, real estate, material possessions. It’s a month of renewal. I see it as a great time to review old plans that may not be working and make some changes for the future to put into place. In areas of love with an established relationship, try going out on a date somewhere completely new and unknown.
Our Love Herbal Blend is handy to have to include in workings influenced by Venus.
